'Sheep Pigs' Exist And It Makes No Sense How We're Just Now Hearing Of Them
It almost seems too good to be true, but yes, "sheep pigs" are real.
Meet the Mangalica pig...
Or as they're more commonly known, "sheep pigs."
Which makes a lot more more sense because, well, they're literally pigs with sheep-like coats.
And they're absolutely adorable.
Just look at those little curls!
Aside from being extremely cute though, Mangalica pigs are actually also remarkably rare animals.
At one point, there were other breeds of pigs that had similar furry coats, but they've all since gone extinct. Mangalica pigs, however - who originated in Hungary - were fortunately saved from extinction in the 1990s by a group of breeders.
Now, thanks to the dedication of breeders, Mangalica pigs have seen a dramatic rise in population.
And that's good news for everyone.
Because a world without these adorably curly little crossovers is a very sad world.
Unfortunately, you'll need a breeder's license to own one for yourself.
Worth it? Well, that's for you to decide. If not, at least you know about them now. You're welcome.
