He probably wasn't planning on having to use one of his lives so soon, but at least he's still got eight more.
This past Thanksgiving, Branden Bingham and his family were met with an unexpected surprise.
While playing outside, one of Bingham's sons tripped in the snow trying to avoid stepping on what he suspected to be an animal. And he wasn't wrong. There, partially submerged in the snow, laid a small white kitten, nearly frozen stiff.
After bringing him inside, Branden's brother Justin, who'd previously taken veterinary classes at BYU, immediately began trying to jumpstart the kitten's breathing.
He began holding him near their fireplace while manually pumping his heart with his thumb.
But after doing this for nearly a half an hour to no avail, it seemed as though the kitten wouldn't pull through...
But then, all of the sudden, he began to move.
Nearly an hour later, they had miraculously resuscitated the little guy, fittingly naming him "Lazarus."
Branden's cousin has since adopted the resilient little kitten, where he's being carefully nurtured back to full health.
Let's just hope he doesn't have to use another one of his lives for a while.
