While the Circus is still a touring spectacle in modern times, it's nothing like it once was.
While some of the bigger acts included lion tamers, trapeze artists and tight-rope walking elephants, some of the lesser known—but absolutely insane—elements of the Circus, in its heyday, were the sideshows.
These sideshows were terrifying...truly. They showed human beings in a way they really never should be shown.
