Wayne Adams, 66, and Catherine King, 59, built a floating home and have been living on it since 1992. The home is located on the coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia and shows you just how simple life can be if we only take the time to make it that way.Â
Since living here, they have been catching and growing their own food.
The home consists of 12 floating platforms and has about half an acre of land for growing food.
The home also has a dance floor, an art gallery, a guest lighthouse, a studio for Adams and King, and 5 greenhouses. Basically, they have everything you could ever really want when living in the middle of a lake.
Adams and King both live on the home year-round and they seem to enjoy living the sustainable lifestyle.
They gather water from a nearby waterfall or sometimes simply use rain water.
Watch this clip below on their sustainable lifestyle and their willingness to help and teach others to try and live the way they do. It's really interesting to think about! Could you ever do this?
