There's A Dog And A Rat That Are Best Friends, And You Have To See It To Believe It

As songwriter and record producer Kenneth Ortiz once said, "Sometimes the best relationships are formed by the most unlikely pair."
Those words couldn't ring truer than for Osiris and Riff, a 3-year-old Dutch shepherd, and a 3-month-old Fancy rat. And yes, you read that right.
Despite Riff only having been around for a few months, the two have become fond of each other.
Extremely fond.
And Osiris is certainly not one to restrain his affection.
But naturally, their being in such close proximity - and ya know, Osiris being a dog - does beg the question...
Doesn't the chance of Riff getting eaten serve as a concern??
To answer that as simply as possible...
No. It's doesn't. And frankly, it never will.
Osiris is a therapy dog, and is as gentle as they come. Just take it from their owner, who says on their Instagram page, "Riff Ratt really likes licking the inside of Osiris’ mouth. I’m sure you all are wondering if we’re afraid Osiris will eat Riff – NOPE! Osiris has helped foster and care for dozens of animals and he is the gentlest dog I’ve ever met."
But Riff is definitely one trusting rat.
And fancy too, of course.
Together, they're definitely one of the most bizarre, and adorable, pairs of friends out there.
