This Woman's Selfie Is Catching Everyone's Attention For an Unexpected Reason
Last week, before all the fun fourth of July festivities took place, this woman, Rachel Taylor, was shopping at Old Navy. She overheard a conversation between a mother and her daughter apparently mocking a shirt because of how large it was. The shirt turned out to be Rachel's exact size. After hearing that hurtful conversation, Rachel tried on the shirt, snapped a selfie, and became a viral sensation.Â
After hearing a hurtful conversation from other shoppers in an Old Navy store, Rachel Taylor, wanted to do something about it. She tried the shirt on and posted a selfie of her wearing the shirt to the Old Navy Facebook page and explained the story. Her post was liked over 250,000 times and has over 12,000 shares.Â
After Rachel came back into the store, she did something empowering instead of letting this incident continue to make her feel bad. She tried the shirt on and ended up buying it. She posted the picture and her story to Old Navy's Facebook page thanking them for selling clothing for all different shapes and sizes.Â
She ended her Facebook post with some serious words of wisdom, “Be kind. Think about others before you speak. And if someone hurts you, you have to move on.â€Â After sharing her story, Old Navy responded to her post, saying, "Rachel, you are amazing. We want to celebrate your fierce style by sending you a gift card.â€
